Elvin Baruah a national leader of AamAadmi Party

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP, English: Common Man's Party) is an Indian political party, formally launched on 26 November 2012, and is currently the ruling party of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It came into existence following differences between the activists Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare regarding whether or not to politicise the popular India Against Corruption movement that had been demanding a Jan Lokpal Bill since 2011.

The party made its electoral debut in the 2013 Delhi Legislative Assembly election, where it emerged as the second-largest party, winning 28 of the 70 seats. With no party obtaining an overall majority, the AAP formed a minority government with conditional support from the Indian National Congress. A significant part of its agenda was to quickly introduce the Jan Lokpal bill in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. When it became clear after the election that the other major parties would not support this bill, the AAP government resigned. It had been in power for 49 days.

In the 2015 Delhi Legislative Assembly election, AAP won 67 of the 70 seats in the assembly. Among two national political parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 3 seats, while the Indian National Congress did not win any. Afte 6 month of formation the govt AAP Passed the Janlokpal Ordinance on Delhi Assembly but It's not passed on parliament to become law.

We have come into politics to bring CHANGE ( poribartan) ,our motto is to give clean and corruption free governess to people with honesty, transparency and dedication, we had a clean sweep in Delhi, By the 67 Assembly seats in Delhi out of a total of 70 seats, we have created a history in politics.

After working on social media and tele caller to Delhi voters as a silent volunteer, Elvin Baruah has been come to front side on field work directly with Aam Aadmi party on November 2014. After the Historical results come out on 10TH february 2015, that AAP got 67 seats out of 70, the whole country was shocked. Then volunteers started to build up the party in all states. That time when party advised him to join and work in Malviya Nagar Constituency, that time Party's North East India's observer Mr. Habung Payeng appointed him as an Incharge of North East CYSS in Delhi to work on Delhi University Students Union Election on October 2015. CYSS ( Chatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti) is students wing of party.

After winning Malviya Nagar Constituency's MLA Somnath Bharti appointed Mr. Baruah as a 10 and after that all 30 constituencies in charge in Pondicherry.

After working with Mr Bharti in Delhi he got chance to work in Madhya Pradesh for 1 month, appointed by AAP National Organisation Secretary Durgesh Pathak.

Then again he worked in Malviya Nagar with AAP MLA ex Law Minister Somnath Bharti, Mr. Bharti appointed and party appointed Mr. Baruah as a State Observer for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, he went their and visit all 34 Human habitats Islands out of 572 Islands. He worked in Delhi MCD election too in 2018. Then he was in AAP National Media and Policy cell as a founder member. On 2019 under his leadership AAP Contested MP Election on the islands.

The most intriguing aspect of Aam Aadmi Party political persona is that never spelt out his ideological belief system and it's based on Democratic socialism Anti-corruption Populism.

In Delhi Aam Aadmi Party wooed the Dalits and the Muslims, the bedrock of the Congress base, finishing off Congress for thetime being. From a high of 40.31% votes, Congress declined steadily to 24.55% in the first ever polls with AAP participation in 2013, then to 15.22% in 2014 and later to its worst ever drubbing in 2015 when it polled just 9.65% votes. All this while AAP grew at Congress’ expense from 29.49% to 33.08% to an astounding 54.34% in 2015. Others parties promise to do things for people if they are voted to power, but AAP is the only party which says people will be a part of that rule.
